A handmade wheel thrown espresso cup with turquoise glaze. This cup could also be used as a very small bowl for condiments or for trinkets.
This is a beige, grey textured stoneware clay with small sandy flecks kept raw on the outside and lined on the inside with a blue glossy glaze with tones of emerald as can be found on the coasts of Med.
Why not mix and match? These cups are available with three glaze colours : emerald turquoise, jade green or dolphin blue. All three colours come in either a beige grey clay or a light cream clay so can mixed and matched by glaze colour or by clay tone.
This is a durable, dishwasher proof, food-safe glaze which is unique and was formulated by Sarah and rigorously tested. Handmade ceramics will, however, benefit from a longer life if they are hand washed as this is gentler than a dish washer. Ceramics with raw exteriors may with time show some patina if the item comes in to contact with oil, wiping an item with a neutral colour-free food oil can protect it.
As each piece is unique and thrown on the wheel there may be subtle differences from one item to the next.
