A low wide bowl, glazed on the inside in an off white soft oatmeal glaze that shows lovely variation between matte and semi matte depending on the thickness of the glaze. The outside is unglazed highlighting the grey stoneware clay with flecks of lava.
An area on one of the sides of the raw exterior was exposed to more heat than the rest of the bowl in the kiln and shows a flash of brown as can be seen in the photograph.
All Sarah’s work is dishwasher-proof but it is always preferable to wash handmade ceramics by hand as this ensures their longevity. The glaze was formulated by Sarah and has been rigorously tested, it is food-safe. Please note that over time matte glazes tend to stain or show cutlery marks more than gloss glazes.
