A sandy cream textured stoneware vase kept intentionally raw on the outside highlighting both movement of the wheel produced by the flecks of sand in the clay.
The natural colour of the clay works incredibly well with all flowers, dry or fresh, showing them to their best with an understated elegance provided by the vase. Glazed on the inside with a white gloss glaze.
This is a highly textured clay that starts out a salmon, sandstone colour; after the two firings it takes on a beautiful flecked creamy buttermilk hue.
Dishwasher proof, however handmade ceramics will benefit from a longer life if they are hand washed as this is gentler than a dish washer. The raw clay may develop a patina over time if oil comes in contact with it however by wiping the raw clay with a neutral coloured oil such as vegetable oil at an early stage, the clay will develop less patina.
