This is a cream textured stoneware clay with small sand flecks kept raw on the outside and lined on the inside with a blue gloss glaze.
This is a durable, dishwasher proof, food-safe glaze which is unique and was formulated by Sarah and rigorously tested. Handmade ceramics will, however, benefit from a longer life if they are hand washed as this is gentler than a dish washer. Ceramics with raw exteriors may with time show some patina if the item comes in to contact with oil, wiping an item with a neutral colour-free food oil can protect it.
